Results 2025 - Limerick Harriers Show
On Sunday, we embarked on an early start at 4 AM, setting our sights on the Limerick Harries Show held in the picturesque Ballycahan. The day unfolded beautifully and was filled with remarkable achievements and unforgettable moments, showcasing the immense talent and dedication of our riders and their horses.
The excitement began with Charlotte Kelly, who elegantly rode ‘HUDSONS LUCARELLI ROSA’ to a fantastic victory in the competitive 153cm Show Hunter Pony class. This remarkable performance not only secured the win but also propelled them into the prestigious Ridden Pony Championship, where they proudly stood as the Reserve Ridden Pony Champion of the show.
Next on the agenda was Penny Hudson Kelly, who introduced the 4-year-old Connemara gelding, ‘MOVER,’ to the show ring for the very first time. Despite the bustling atmosphere and the challenges posed by a busy warm-up area, Mover's behaviour was nothing short of exemplary. As the youngest competitor in a class of over 11 entries, he demonstrated remarkable composure and talent, ultimately earning a commendable fourth place pull after the go-round. We are incredibly proud of Mover for handling the experience so well; his confidence and poise reflect the supportive environment that Penny provided him. Penny's ability to connect with Mover and give him the reassurance he needed was evident, showcasing both her skill as a rider and her deep understanding for her horses needs.
As the day progressed, Fiadh took the reins of Pedro, navigating a particularly challenging Family Lead Rein Pony class. Together, they tackled the largest class of the day with determination and grace, ultimately securing a fantastic second place. This achievement was especially significant as it marked Fiadh's first trophy win, adding a bright highlight to an already successful day. Her connection with Pedro was heartwarming to witness, and their teamwork exemplified the camaraderie and spirit of our group.
Overall, we are absolutely delighted with the performances of our entire team at the Limerick Harries Show. Each rider showcased their hard work, dedication, and passion for equestrian sport, resulting in impressive outcomes for both horse and rider. The skills displayed, the challenges overcome, and the bonds formed throughout the day reflect the essence of what we strive for in our equestrian community. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to support each other in our equestrian journeys.
